Journalism, Opinions and Columns

I’ve been doing professional journalism work since 2011, although it was 2014 before I picked my a Graduate Diploma in Journalism Studies from Massey University, where I once received a pretty darn cool certificate for outstanding work in my Investigative Journalism paper.

Being around so many reporters and columnists over the years must have rubbed off, because today I’m often called upon to help take on certain voices. Voices I utilise to create effective writing include:

Opinion Columns

Awards for creative writing

Journalism by Michael Botur

Dozens of WW1 centenary stories for NZ Herald, including:

Pride of NZ Awards stories for NZ Herald. Dozens of stories including:

Newsroom reporting for NZ Herald. Hundreds of stories published, including:

Examples of features / investigative reporting
